Adam Waldron is known as an innovative, collaborative, and team-oriented leader who challenges existing thinking with novel approaches, experimentation, and simplification. He has a bias towards action and is passionate about building relationships that foster growth and new opportunities. He is driven by curiosity and an intense desire for results and progress. His energies have most recently been focused on a large insurer’s system modernization and digital initiative. He received the award of “Excellence in the Office of CIO,” which is voted on by 116 CIO-level peers across industries. In 2019 his team received the “Guidewire Innovation Award” for a project he envisioned, created, and led.
He also currently serves as board President for Health West, a successful, innovative, and growing multi-practice community health center with 12 locations throughout SE Idaho. He previously worked in the healthcare industry leading transformation efforts as a healthcare executive, health informatics consultant, IT Manager, and adjunct professor for health information technology. His team received the QUALIS award for excellence in healthcare quality and was the first in the region to offer true electronic prescriptions.
Adam earned two master’s degrees: Master of Business Administration (MBA) and Master of Public Administration (MPA), both with emphasis in technology. He holds certifications in the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe SPC), Agile, Scrum, Lean Six Sigma, GROW Coaching, and Electronic Health Records implementation.He was the catalyst behind the Elevate Leadership Summit, a regional event focused on enhancing leadership skills at all levels. He routinely speaks at regional and national conferences on the topics of innovation, leadership, culture, and technology. He is an avid supporter of crowdfunding campaigns and has backed over 50 innovative projects.
When not engaged in work or civic activities, Adam enjoys spending time with his wife and five children, especially exploring the natural wonders of Idaho. He is an avid do-it-yourselfer, regularly undertaking a variety of construction, home improvement, and alternative energy projects at home and with friends.He calls operating heavy machinery therapeutic.
